Mystery of the Bog
From before the time of Jesus Christ and the Roman Empire, during the Iron Age of human civilisation, the discovery of numerous bodies from Northern Europe and Britain in areas of marsh and peat bog, well preserved bodies have been found. Tollund Man, Lindow Man and Clonycavan Man are all examples of the most famous well preserved 'bog bodies' from prehistory. These bodies were found by luck and chance yet, what were the bodies doing there in the first place? Who are they? How did these people die?... were they murdered? executed? or were they the exhibited as a sacrifice, due to the brutal ritual order of the Iron Age?
